Choose a crate using internal dimensions, access and the space available at home.

Before you buy

Internal space

Measure standing height and nose-to-tail-base length. Your dog needs room to stand, turn around and lie down comfortably.

Location

Measure floor area and door-opening clearance, including any divider and bedding.

Construction

Compare latches, removable trays and folded dimensions. Follow the exact model's assembly and weight guidance.

A household crate is not automatically approved for flights or crash-tested for cars. Distress in a crate needs a training plan, not simply stronger bars.

Breed fit guides

Use a breed guide for context, then measure your individual dog. Breed guides share the category checklist; a breed name does not establish a separate product test.
