This Privacy Policy describes how PetsBlueprint ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit PetsBlueprint.com ("the Site") or interact with our services, including our newsletter and downloadable guides.

• Email address -- collected when you subscribe to our newsletter or request a free guide. This is the only personal information we explicitly request.
• Signup source -- we record where on the Site you subscribed (e.g., homepage, blog, guide page) for analytics purposes.

• Usage data -- through Vercel Analytics, we collect anonymized page views, referral sources, device types, browser types, and geographic region (country level). This data is aggregated and cannot identify individual users.
• Cookies and similar technologies -- the Site may use essential cookies for functionality. Third-party services (Amazon, Vercel Analytics) may set their own cookies. See Section 5 for details.
• Server logs -- our hosting provider (Vercel) may automatically collect IP addresses, browser type, referring URLs, and access timestamps as part of standard server operations.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Email address: To send you our newsletter (product recommendations, editorial content, and guides), to deliver requested downloadable guides, and to send transactional emails (welcome messages, unsubscribe confirmations). We do not use your email for any other purpose.
• Analytics data: To understand how visitors use the Site, improve content and user experience, and monitor Site performance. Analytics data is aggregated and anonymized.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process data:

• Resend (resend.com) -- email delivery service. Your email address is stored in Resend's systems for the purpose of sending newsletters and transactional emails. See Resend's Privacy Policy.
• Vercel (vercel.com) -- hosting and analytics provider. Vercel Analytics collects anonymized, aggregated usage data. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
• Amazon Associates -- affiliate program. When you click an affiliate link, Amazon may collect data according to their own privacy policy. We do not receive personally identifiable information about your Amazon purchases. See Amazon's Privacy Notice.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal information to third parties. We do not share your email address with anyone except our email delivery provider (Resend), which processes it solely for the purpose of delivering emails on our behalf.

We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of PetsBlueprint, our users, or the public.

5. Cookies

Essential cookies: The Site may use cookies necessary for basic functionality.

Analytics cookies: Vercel Analytics uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics by default. No personally identifiable information is collected.

Third-party cookies: When you click an affiliate link to Amazon or other third-party sites, those sites may set their own cookies according to their own policies. We have no control over third-party cookies.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some Site functionality.

6. Data Retention

• Email addresses: Retained for as long as you remain subscribed. When you unsubscribe, your email is marked as unsubscribed in our email service provider. You may request complete deletion by contacting us.
• Analytics data: Retained according to Vercel's data retention policies. This data is aggregated and anonymized.
• Server logs: Retained according to Vercel's standard log retention periods.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate personal data
• Delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
• Opt out of email communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email
• Request portability of your data in a machine-readable format
• Object to processing of your data

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

The Site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

10. International Users

The Site is operated from the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using the Site, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

For analytics, our lawful basis is legitimate interest in understanding Site usage through anonymized, aggregated data.
