Before you buy

Label

Check the nutritional adequacy statement and intended life stage. Puppy and adult formulas are not interchangeable recommendations.

Daily cost

Compare cost per day using your dog's feeding amount, rather than bag price or protein percentage alone.

Individual needs

Record age, current weight, body condition, diet and prescribed dietary requirements before discussing a change with your vet.

Breed and energy labels alone cannot prescribe a formula, serving size or diet for a health condition.

Breed fit guides

Use a breed guide for context, then measure your individual dog. Breed guides share the category checklist; a breed name does not establish a separate product test.
