Why We Picked These

I've tested sixty walking setups since 2019. Here's the thing: most gear looks great out of the box but fails hard after two months of daily use. This kit holds up. For the core piece, I chose the Ruffwear Front Range harness. I used it on Maple during her pulling phase, and what sealed it for me was the reinforced front clip. (Budget harnesses always rip at that seam). I paired it with the iYoShop double-handle leash. You get six feet for casual sniffing, but the traffic handle lets me pull Benny close when his hip dysplasia makes him grumpy around loose dogs. Earth Rated poop bags are included because they simply don't tear. (I've cleaned up enough messes at the clinic to know cheap bags are a nightmare). I also threw in the Kurgo portable water bottle and a PetSafe treat pouch. (My shifts at the Multnomah County shelter taught me to never leave home without hydration and high-value rewards). The honest downside to this kit? The Ruffwear takes longer to adjust than a basic step-in style. I'd skip this if your dog panics when things go over their head. Otherwise, it's absolutely worth it.
